Power Pin Loose or Snapped Off?
Probably the most common fault with laptops is the power pin failing (where the power cable plugs in to the laptop). This problem usually becomes apparent through intermittent charging of the machine that is initially solved by wriggling the connection point. However, this will soon be followed by a complete failure of the pin, which after the battery is exhausted results in a dead notebook. We can supply and fit a new pin with no loss of data, whatever the make, or model of laptop
Replacement Chargers
We offer a full range of new and 2nd user power adapters even for rare models all at excellent prices.
Replacement Batteries
Batteries tend to have two characteristics that manufacturers don't shout about. They don't last as long as claimed and they begin to lose their ability to hold a charge very quickly. There's not much we can do about this (although letting the battery fully discharge will help) but we can supply a quality replacement unit when you come to renew it. Remember, batteries being sold for less than £10 on EBay are not going to give you much more than an ugly paper weight... We only supply robust batteries that are covered by a full manufacturers- warranty.
LAPTOP POWER CONECTOR PROBLEMS
Is your laptop feeling very hot around the charger plug socket? Are you finding you laptop not charging? Does it go off if you move the power lead? Is your Laptop just not turning on? Can you smell a very slight burning?

These are just some of the symptoms of a failed DC jack on the motherboard of the laptop. Due to the nature of the design of the power connector to the laptop it is often highly stressed from the plug fitting. This results quite commonly in a small almost untraceable hair line fracture in the soldering of the DC jack to the motherboard. When this occurs it is of the utmost importance to get the fitting replaced as soon as possible.
The DC electrical charge passing through the fractured soldered joint, starts to create heat from minute sparking across the crack. If this is not repaired quickly this gap will grow and as such so will the spark.
When the spark gets to a certain level of magnitude it will start to burn through the PCB motherboard making a repair of the DC jack impossible.
At this point the only course of action is to replace the motherboard which often is not economically viable, as it is almost the full cost of a new laptop purchase.
We see this kind of repair every week and specialize in a quick turn around repair service, and stock most of the common DC jack fittings for immediate use.
If it’s not in stock already we can source these quickly within one or two working days,
So your laptop can be returned to you without delay.
This is what happens if you don't repair as soon as the problem starts
